Terms

The deal, in plain English. Using Pezmu means you're happy with what's on this page. It's short because the arrangement is simple.
Who you're dealing with. Pezmu is built and run by Sasha Stekhov, an individual based in Cyprus. pezmuapp@gmail.com reaches me directly.
What Pezmu is
A place to practise a language by talking to an AI tutor that remembers you, and a record of what you're actually learning from it. That's the whole product.
What it isn't
The tutor is an AI, and it can be confidently wrong — about a grammar rule, a translation, or a fact about the world. It's a very good conversation partner, not an authority. Check anything that matters.
It is not a teacher, a qualification, or a substitute for professional advice of any kind. Don't rely on it for anything medical, legal, financial, or otherwise consequential. It is not an emergency service; if you're in trouble, contact someone who can actually help.
Your account
You need to be 16 or over, and you're asked to confirm that before your first message. An account is for one person — yours. Don't share your sign-in link, and tell us if you think someone else has got into your account.
While it's in testing it's free, and there's no promise it stays that way. If it ever starts costing money, you'll be told before you're charged anything, and never charged by surprise.
What you write
Your conversations are yours. You keep every right you have in what you write; nothing here signs it over. You're giving us permission to process it in order to run the service — which means storing it, analysing it to track your progress, and sending it to Google's models to generate the tutor's replies. That's set out properly in the privacy policy.
We don't use your conversations to train models, ours or anyone else's, and we don't publish them.
Using it decently
Short list, and none of it will surprise you. Don't use Pezmu to break the law or to produce material that harms other people. Don't try to break into it, overload it, scrape it, or pick apart how it works in order to rebuild it. Don't resell access or pass your invitation around. Don't deliberately push the tutor into generating something abusive or illegal.
If you do any of that, your access can be suspended or ended — and if it's serious, immediately.
It might break, and it might change
This is a small project run by one person and still in testing. Things will be added, changed and removed; it will sometimes be down; a feature you like might not survive. It's provided as it is, without guarantees that it'll be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
We're responsible for what the law says we're responsible for, and no further. Nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer — if you're in the EU, those rights stand whatever this page says.
Walking away
You can stop whenever you like, and you don't need us to do it for you. Start over in the app wipes your record immediately; Delete your account, on the same page, removes the account itself. We'd only end your access if you break these terms or if Pezmu shuts down — and if it shuts down, you'll get enough notice to download your record first.
If this page changes
The date at the top moves. If a change actually matters, you'll be told in the app rather than left to spot it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Cyprus. If you're a consumer elsewhere in the EU, you can still rely on the protections of your own country's law, and bring a claim in your own courts.
